5th Foundation day of AWKUM was celebrated at 11 a.m. on 25 Feb, 2013 at Buner Campus. All faculty & staff participated in function with recitation of khatam- ul- Quran followed by hoisting National & AKUM flags. The national anthem & AKUM song were played. 

The Coordinator Prof.Dr Saleem Khan in his address on the occasion explained the aims & objectives of the day & overall progress of  AWKUM in the past five years.

He further explained that the credit for all these goes to the honourable Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr. Ihsan Ali and the current Government who stressed upon reaching the higher level education at door step. He was of the view there was no example of such expansion in the form of campuses & two Universities in short period. 

He further added that the Buner Campus will be converted into full-fledged University in the near future Inshallah.
