Research Collaboration between AWKUM and University of Ulm

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan and University of Ulm Germany enter Research Collaboration. The Research Collaboration was signed during the Visit of the Vice Chancellor AWKUM, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali and Dr. Muazzam A. Khan (NUST) to University of Ulm (City of Einstein) Germany in the mid December, 2013.

Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, on behalf of AWKUM, and Director International Office, Prof. Dr. Reinhold Lucker, on behalf of University of Ulm, signed the collaboration. On the occasion, Dr. Muazzam A. Khan, HEC Approved Supervisor (NUST), Prof. Dr. Ulrich Stadtmuller, Vice President, Prof. Dr. Frank Kargel, Director Institute of Distributed Systems and Prof. Dr. Frank Solmka, Dean of Studies, were present.

Under this collaboration, the faculty and research scholars would be given the opportunity to engage in research, teaching and lecturing, consulting at University of Ulm, as well as they would be encouraged to participate actively in cross cultural activities, and ultimately to share with their countrymen their experiences and increased knowledge of computer in their substantive fields. Research scholar or faculty member may remain in the Germany for six months initially and later on will be extended on his/her performance. The University of Ulm will provide full access to all the available resources including research labs, equipment, libraries etc.

Prof Dr. Ihsan Ali on the occasion reiterated that this is indeed a proud moment for AWKUM to have signed Research Collaboration with University of Ulm. It is another step forward for the internationalization of higher education and preparing AWKUM for the challenges in computing and information technology.
