A three day visit of the delegation of National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (NACTE) begins at the Main Campus, Abdul Wali Khan University. The delegation comprises of Prof. Dr. Shahrukh, Secretary NACTE, Prof. Dr. Waseem Khan, University of Peshawar and Prof. Dr. Zahid Majeed, Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad.

Chairman Department of Education, Dr. Riasat, briefed the delegation on AWKUM in general and the department of education in specific. On the occasion, the acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saeed Anwar, Dean faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Jehanzeb Khalil, Registrar, Dr. Saeed Islam, Provost, Ibrar Hussain, Deputy Director Academics, Tariq Mehmood, Chief Proctor, Muhammad Idrees and faculty of the department of education were present.

The delegation interviewed the students and faculty and thoroughly inspected the facilities that are provided to the students in the shape of Library, Computer Lab, Transport and other such facilities.

While appreciating the successful journey of AWKUM since its establishment, Prof. Dr. Shahrukh reiterated that Abdul Wali Khan University is the 1st University of Pakistan that has accredited its education programme from National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education.
