“Anti Corruption Week” has been observed at the Main Campus, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. In this regard several events were organized including a walk that was observed against corruption in which Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, Deputy Commissioner Mardan, Aamir Latif, Dean Faculty of Arts, Dr. Jehanzed, Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, Registrar, Dr. Saeed Islam, Director HRD, Dr. Amir Zaman, Heads of all the departments and sections as well a profound number of students participated.
Deputy Commissioner Mardan, in his address, said that corruption is eating the roots of our country like termites which has in return adversely affected the progress of our country. He further said that the present government is fighting hard to eradicate corruption by introducing the R-T-T and new accountability bill.
Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, on the occasion reiterated that wasting time, cheating and leg pulling are also acts of corruption and we should strictly refrain from adopting such acts. He concluded his address by saying that a corruption free Pakistan is our dream.
