Bacha Khan Campus Chitral, AWKUM, observed its 2nd foundation day on Dec 12, 2013. The ceremony was started with recitation of few verses from the Holy Quran. After which flags were being hoisted with all university staff including students present on the occasion. During the flag hoisting ceremony, Pakistan's national anthem along with AWKUM's anthems was being played.

Coordinator, Mr. Shehzad Khan, Bacha Khan Campus Chitral spoke at the ceremony afterwards and briefed audience about the history and unbelievably tremendous growth and achievements that the university underwent during the first few years after its establishment. Referring to different rankings by the HEC on national as well as provincial level, he congratulated the students to be part of such a dynamic, facilitating and fast growing & expanding university with its students working at good positions in different sectors after completing their degrees from the university. He expressed strong resolve and commitment to take further hoists on the way forward to excellence.
