Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan entered Exchange Programme with Tayyip Erdogan University, Turkey. The Exchange Programme is named as Mevlana Exchange Programme Protocol.

Vice Chancellor AWKUM Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali signed the agreement of Mevlana Exchange Programme Protocol while from Tayyip Erdogan University Turkey it has been signed by the Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Huseyin Karaman.

On the occasion, the Dean Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Jehanzeb, Dean Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Saeed Anwar, Registrar, Dr. Saeed Islam and Director Human Resource Development, Dr. Amir Zaman were present.

The Exchange programme is for the academic staff and students in the disciplines of Agricultural Sciences, Economics, Languages and Philological Sciences, Education, Theology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Tourism & Hotel Management. Every year three students and two staff members in each discipline would be sent for exchange programme to Tayyip Erdogan University while the same would be received every year at AWKUM from Tayyib Erdogan University. The duration of students exchange programme is 5 months while staff exchange programme is 3 months.

On the occasion Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali reiterated that this is a remarkable achievement in terms of the internationalization of higher education and providing the students and faculty an opportunity for healthy exposure. He further said that the exchange programme would also enable us to host students from a foreign university and thus we would be able to judge ourselves in comparison to quality universities abroad.
